Brevity

Bringing brevity to your writing is a kindness. It takes you time to save your reader time, but they're

minutes well-spent.

In this course you’ll do more than just cut word count. We get into the structural tricks to

make your writing look and feel short, and tackle a couple of writing taboos.

In our Brevity course, you'll learn how to:

  • use contractions and simple connectors

  • use summary subheadings to save space

  • keep your paragraphs pithy

  • write beautiful bullet points

  • give every piece of writing a haircut.

And when you do those things, you:

  • make reading effortless: short, well-structured writing feels easy to engage with

  • save time: readers find what they need fast, without rereading

  • show competence: clear, organised writing signals confidence and control.
